Any proprietor, partnership, firm or corporation who has in
its employ a funeral director and that operates a business for the purpose of
furnishing funeral supplies and services to the public in Manitoba and who agrees,
in writing, in form satisfactory to the Executive, to adopt and abide by the by-laws
and code of ethics of the Association may enroll as a Corporate Member.
Any individual, who holds a valid certificate of
qualification, license or permit under The Embalmers and Funeral Directors Act
(Manitoba) who agrees, in writing, in form satisfactory to the Executive, to adopt
and abide by the by-laws and code of ethics of the Association, may be enrolled
as an Individual Member.
Any individual who holds a valid certificate of
qualification, license or permit under The Embalmers and Funeral Directors Act
(Manitoba) who is not an owner of a funeral establishment, but is employed with
a Corporate Member, who agrees, in writing, in form satisfactory to the
Executive, to adopt and abide by the by-laws and code of ethics of the
Association, may be enrolled as an Individual Member.
Any person, firm or corporation, in sympathy with the
objects of the Association who does not qualify as a Corporate or Individual
Member, but who, in the discretion of the Executive is a supplier, manufacturer,
service provider, consultant, or technical adviser who is supportively associated
with the funeral service profession, may be enrolled as an Associate Member.
This may include persons who reside outside Manitoba who hold a license or
permit under The Embalmers and Funeral Directors Act (Manitoba) but are not
employed in the funeral service profession in Manitoba.
Any individual who is a past or present member of the
Association who has made outstanding contributions to the Association and the
funeral service profession and who has been elected an Honorary Member by
unanimous vote of those present at an Executive Meeting regularly called. An
Honorary Member shall not be required to pay membership dues, but shall have
the right to vote and hold office in the Association.
